Our Family

Although our families live all over the place we still get to see them frequently. We spend Thanksgiving in Boston with Danielle’s relatives. Her sister’s birthday is right around Thanksgiving, and we relish the opportunity to see her parents and her sister’s family. Christmas is spent with Drew’s parents in Ann Arbor, MI. Drew’s sisters and their families and his brother and sister-in-law are there every other year or so as well so everyone gets to see everyone.

We are committed to open adoption, and we want to let our relationship with you take its own natural course. We think it’s important for our child to know where he or she came from. Our child will always know his or her adoption story and the wonderful way we became a family.

When we think about the future, we see a life rich with friends and family, where laughter and new experiences are part of the picture and fun and learning are part of every day.

We have thought a lot about how we plan to raise our children. We want them to feel secure enough to pursue whatever interests them. If we raise a child who knows how to make friends and be a friend, who goes out into the world feeling confident that he or she can handle whatever life throws his or her way, we will have done our jobs well.
